Notes On Using Insertion Flowmeter

Nov 21 , 2018

For large diameters, the choice of insertion flowmeter can save both cost and ease of installation. There are some things to note about the use of plug-in electromagnetic flowmeters. Let's take a look.

1. Ensure that the media is full. For electromagnetic flowmeters, the full tube of the medium is the most basic requirement, which is directly related to the accuracy of the measurement results.

2. Avoid interference. The electromagnetic flowmeter works according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, which is sensitive to interference. When installing, pay attention to the selected position without interference, so as not to affect the normal measurement of the electromagnetic flow meter. In addition, the flowmeter should be grounded.

3. The converter and transmitter use the same phase power supply to avoid the abnormal operation of the instrument caused by the phase difference between the detection signal and the feedback signal and install the transmitter away from all electromagnetic fields and vibrations.

4. Prevent the scale layer on the inner wall of the transmitter tube from affecting the measurement accuracy. If the resistance of the scale layer is too small, the electrode will be short-circuited, resulting in a smaller or even lower flow signal. At the same time, the insulation lining inside the tube is destroyed or transmitted. Long-term operation in a place where the acid-base salt is concentrated will cause the electrode in the measuring circuit board to be short-circuited, and it should be protected during use.
